    Skate Parks

    By Joy Lynn Clark September 25, 2016 When the city began upgrading the parks (ok, it’s like an ongoing process) I noticed that the city added a few skate parks.  The first one I noticed was on 31st Beach before the large marina project that you see today.  I noticed another on the lakefront on the northside and finally, one near Roosevelt.  I happened to notice the Roosevelt one often because it is right by the Metra.     Shooting In The Hood

    By Joy Lynn Clark  09/14/2016 So far, Chicago has beat out LA and NYC to have the most homicides in the US so far.  With 500 homicides and nearly 3000 shooting victims ( for the past few years consistenly ).  Chicago, IL is probably still the murder capital of the US. Guess who else is shooting?  Crime dramas, police shows, legal investigation programs, fire shows  all realistic, yet fiction.  Right here in the inner city, in the murder capital, on private property.  I am just a renter so, I get no notice.     Head Game (The Solution)

    08/21/2016 The Solution by Dazee Dizzle One thing that I learned at my last visit to the doc is that you can get a bacterial infection in the back of your throat.  I was shocked.  I see those barriers, and throat protection things and I think, “if there is some obvious bump or lesion then will probably have to leave it alone.  On the other hand if it looks clean then I am fine”.  The Doc was like, “those throat infections are pretty common”. I know I got it then. Nonetheless, the doc swabbed the back of my throat and sent it off for analysis.  I was worried.  I just…
