I have spent some time thinking about why I would still be thinking about my folks at this time. Quite frankly, I don’t think they have the right attitude. (to my parents, its not just you, it’s alot of people in your age group).
You guys must think we are not too smart. The reason why I say this is because I watch the local news and I hear story after story about, hell I don’t know. What I see is person after person in my age group looking sad, getting hurt, or doing something stupid.
To make things worse, there really wasn’t even a story. Sometimes I get mad at my more financially successful peers for bragging and showing us the good life that most of us won’t ever acheive. On the other hand, that’s about as positive as the stories and images of my generation get.
Therefore, I decided to compile a list of the things that my folks’ generation is doing way too much of:
- Prescriptions for school.
- Harsh sentencing for drug offenders.
- The cutting of phys ed., art, and music
- Universities charging higher rates without a proven record of successful graduates.
- The media rewarding asses and buffoons
- The reduction of paperwork act. (In an ideal world where big business is caring and honest this is an excellent idea). Companies need to provide a hard copy of any contractual agreements or changes to said agreement.
- Frakking
- Nightclubs and bars scanning my driver’s license and keeping an electronic file somewhere.
- Telecom charging us a penalty for not wanting their crappy device or their crappy service.
- Letting people lose their homes instead of agreeing to something that they can afford.
11.Letting students go into default on their loans instead of agreeing to something they can afford.
- Making us pay more for less ingredients.
- How come everywhere I go they need my Social security number, driver’s license number, address, phone number, work number, child’s social security number, emergency contact, emergency contact work number, relationship, email address, insurance verification and or/ credit reference. And we will enter this all into the system and take a hard copy.
- Still haggling over abortion. Let it go. You aren’t even of childbearing age.
- Health insurance not covering enough preventative services for young adults (and giving lots of coverage to type II diabetes, high blood pressure, lung cancer, and a host of other ailments that could have been prevented).
You’re doing way too much. Therefore, pass the torch and Consult a Professional
