Sorry, The Door of Opportunity is Closed

Sorry For The Kids by Dazee Dizzle I have had the issue of Age-ism on my mind for quite some time. On the other hand, I was not sure how to approach it.  For the past ten years I have been hearing about how this generation is going to be the first one to be less successful financially than their parents.  Now, I have a security issue.   All of my life I have been striving to be more successful.  I was raised to believe that I am supposed to provide myself with a life that I am accustomed to.  So far, I have failed.  At least I am educated.…

In the fight against the ebola pandemic: Quarantine and Cremation

10/14/2014 Buried Alive by Dazee Dizzle – lyrics at the end When I watch the latest new stories on ebola I cringe.  People from the infected regions are flying into the U.S. Wait. Hold it right there, isn’t the protocol for ebola quarantine?  Why are U.S. airports accepting flights from the infected regions?  The area is in quarantine, right? I saw a story where airport cleaning crews were given latex gloves and painters mask-like covers for their face.  What the f&^k?  I would quit immediately. Seriously, the first story I heard was disconcerting.  Okay we are going to fly an infected patient into Atlanta. At least they were near the…

How come they don’t have any game?

That’s How The Game Goes by Dazee Dizzle I wanted to be a vegan.  Not really to “save” the cute little animals but, I began to wonder how I got them.  A family member once told me we are eating a bunch of chicken wings, think of how many chickens had to die for us to have this big bucket of wings.  I poured on more hot sauce and tried to forget.  But everytime I ate chicken wings I started to count how many chickens it could have been.  I would count one, two, three, if I am really hungry four.  Danm, I am taking some chickens down.  Then, I…

    School Shootings and absentee parents

School Shooting by Dazee Dizzle I imagine my parents were the type of people to fight for their right to equal wages,  co-parenting, a right to a quality education, and a host of other freedoms that most Americans enjoy today.  My parents got the opportunity to get good jobs and make money.  Couples did not have to stay in an unhappy marriage just because they have kids.  My parents are divorced,  and working their asses off. I had before school, afterschool, babysitters, alternating weekends, alternating holidays, counselors, therapists, boyfriends, girlfriends, exes, step parents, step siblings, half siblings.  Turns out, I have a huge family.  I never see them, and I…

Is It the End of The World?

Pale Horse by Dazee Dizzle   All of my life it has been the end times.  Religious people always point out things that are going on in the world as biblical.  Everytime I hear that, it really seems to me like the start of something new.  Not totally new.  But new like microwave popcorn.  TB is coming back.  Everyone can communicate multiple ways in the blink of an eye.  Masses of people could die.  But that happened already, world wars, black plague. I did not really want to get religious but, I cant help but refer to the Christian perspective that I know fairly well (as far as religion goes). …
