Special acknowledgment to the Time

I decided to watch a documentary titled the Unbelievers last night.  I got through some of it.  It made me think of why people get so emotional over religion.  Science tells us the story of our beginnings as does religion.  I can’t recall the exact title of the scientists’ book he was toting around but it was something like, “the problem with god”.  Well that is sure to piss some people off.

Sure enough, people were emotional.  It seemed as if the religious students where he was speaking needed to prove there is no problem with god and the scientist needed to prove that they needed to study more science.  I thought both groups were emotional and smug on both sides.

Could it be the word “God”?  God is a powerful word.  My son told me that “God doesn’t like bad words.”  I had to explain to him that it is not written down, “commandment 11: Thou shalt not cuss”. However, it is generally frowned upon when heard from a child.  I wondered who told him that.

Then, I thought about the scientist’s point of view and I had to ask myself, as an avid reader am I qualified to interpret the things written in ancient text?  Moreover, should I just take someone else’s word for it? No, I guess that’s why I am not religious.

On the other hand, as a lover of the written word I have gotten into ancient texts (translated of course), and literature alike.  From the perspective of an avid reader it is all true.  Many of our creation, exodus, flood, immaculate conception, resurrection, ascencion, beginning/ending , prophet, shaman, gods, constellations,  heavenly bodies etc. are similar.  As far as I am concerned, only the names change.  All of the other parts are the flowery language that us writers like to get into.

Might I add that those stories always work with my scientific beliefs as well.

So, are we just haggling over names?  Could it be that when the first humans went off in separate directions the language changed slightly until we got to the point that our interpretation of the same ancient tales differ a bit?

I was told that God is omnipotent, omniscient, and omnipresent.  God is everywhere.  Ha! Works again. . . Then I kept hearing, “put no man before (or above depending on your version) God. “ Great, cause that’s not even possible. Let’s not forget, God is Love.

Lyrics from Love Massive

Want a love that’s on all levels

Floating or on the ground

Vibrating or floating freely

Like 02 is all around

We can be explorers

And see many things

Or we can be static

Just like saturns rings

So tell me what’s the matter

We are truly stars

And as we grow an atmosphere

Other matter is attracted here

If the impact is a theory

I am truly touched

I thought about this really

Cause I love you so much

We flow like a pendulum

Go forth and then return

We’ll always be together

When the flame no longer burns

And when I think about you

You are there in a flash

Always in the orbit

That’s why I don’t have to ask

I was thinking of love

Like where does it come from?

Then I thought about life

And it’s relationship to the sun

Then I went to the first level

To contemplate what holds us down

And theories of attraction

Like what keeps us around

I don’t have all the answers

But I really only just need one

If love is a type of energy

I want you to conserve with me

I’d tell of my passion

But it really doesn’t matter

To stars there’s only energy

And anything else is chatter

We flow like a pendulum

Go forth and then return

We’ll always be together

When the flame no longer burns

And when I think about you

You are there in a flash

Always in the orbit

That’s why I don’t have to ask

8.28 mps(^2) that will hold us down

While we are on this level

Or if we’re jumping down

As we create environments

The force might truly change

No matter what the pressure

The relationship remains

Cause we flow like a pendulum

Go forth and then return

We’ll always be together

When the flame no longer burns

And when I think about you

You are there in a flash

Always in the orbit

That’s why I don’t have to ask

And as we float on weightless

We are just a mass

Magnetic force is on us

Get ready for the impact

As we head to the stratosphere

All that matters is everywhere

Now we have all the elements

Now were back to dominant

And as we go recombinant

I’ll see you all again

No matter what the pressure

Anywhere we land

And my thoughts about you

Move forward just like time

And this song is ending

But the memory stays in my mind

Cause we flow like a pendulum

Go forth and then return

We’ll always be together

When the flame no longer burns

And when I think about you

You are there in a flash

Always in the orbit

That’s why I don’t have to ask
