LeeMeBee (Software Test pt. 1 – Multitrack Vocals)

This song is about domestic violence. I still haven’t found the words to talk about it but I did write this song. I don’t even care to type up the lyrics.
Someone asked me in the past to start walking people though my production experience. I am not sure about making tutorials at this point but here’s a bit of what I did.
I wrote this song around 2000 (Leave Me Alone) and I have a few versions of it somewhere. This new version is a software test . The plan was to kick this song real quick and try to learn ACID which I haven’t used in 20 years. Multitracking the vocals was a cinch. However, adding effects and plugins was not for me. So, I decided to export the vocal track back to Studio One and engineer the song there. It was mainly in a bout of laziness so I will probably go through the help section of ACID and get those plugins configured. I also noticed that not all formats open between the two, Presonus/Dolby and ACID/Sony files (for which I am so impressed by both software manufacturers and must do more). However, the VBR format of ACID did not import into Studio One well so I chose a standard 96/11000 that came in just fine and is still hi-res enough for video (if necessary). I chose 29.97 fps (frames per second) however, I could not choose non-drop.
I am still finding that the file formats that I used were still cold (mp3 and flac) and I prefer something a little warmer but, it loses meta information and therefore I am going to get over myself and get these plugins configured in ACID.
Special Acknowledgement to Lauryn Hill because I accidentally borrowed some lyrics from her Miseducation of Lauryn Hill album.
