I had positions in retail, temporary, contract, on campus, and then finally the big box retailer that I ended up loving.     My Heart

    By Joy Lynn Clark 8/23/2024 I’ve always enjoyed coming from the south suburbs into the city. My parents grew up a block away from each other and I always got a chance to see both sets of my grandparents. When I moved in with my dad and stepmother we would either come up by the interstate or we would simply ride straight up Halsted Street.  On Papi’s side we’d head to Saint Helena’s for church on Sunday morning and on Pawpaw’s side we would go to church at Trinity.     Digitizing Records

    By Joy Lynn Clark 05/24/2024 While in between contracts mom introduces me to one of her friends in radio. He asked me all about my education and I mention all of my skillsets; especially audio. Her friend hires me to make cd copies of his vinyl. I take on the task and hook up mom’s old record player to my computer. The second I start ripping the first album, it becomes clear that I am going to have to mix and master this too. Her friend hadn’t offered me that much money.     11/13/24 See end for final lyrics 2/20/2024 By Joy Lynn Clark After all of these years, I finally found myself in a state of peace. I looked around my place and I started “fall cleaning”.
